How do we achieve sustainable development in regions with hard-to-reach resources?
How should we respond to climate change in light of actual reality?
Stihia N+1 is the forum that explores how human activity is changing our present and impacts imagining new futures.

The purpose of the forum is to gather creative minds with carefully commissioned program with the aim at triggering research into the causes and consequences of the death of the Aral Sea.

Forum consists of panel sessions, as well as a seminar aimed to help local small and medium size businesses to better understand legal and tax issues related in doing business in rural areas.

This year Stihia went into partnership with GIZ – the German Corporation for International Cooperation. The project is a collaboration of Uzbek government, GIZ, scientists, researchers, consultants and business leaders.

Together with the state corporation "Rosatom" he delivers popular lectures on nuclear physics for a wide audience in Russia and abroad.

Uzbek environmentalist to attend first-ever UN Youth Climate Summit
A committed professional with experience in corporate governance, development education and climate change. Consultant in the area of sustainability, climate change with specialization on training of youth on climate change and environmental literacy.
Alisher Sanetullaev
Nuclear physicist
PhD in Physical Sciences, executive director of the Tashkent branch of National Research Nuclear University MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute). Worked in USA and Canada research institutions.
Disciplines: experimental nuclear physics.
Shamshod Yunusov
Economist
He is a co-founder of the NGO "Center for support and development of the communities Taraqqiyot." He is currently engaged in improvement of the infrastructure gaps at grassroots through civic engagement to decision-making, having many years of experience in participatory improvement of the state of drinking water in the villages of Uzbekistan.

Kate Shields
PhD candidate in the Department of Geography at the University of Oregon
She is currently a Fulbright-Hays fellow at Karakalpak State University. Her research explores the connections between health and environmental transformation in the Aral Sea region of Uzbekistan.

Nigora Isamiddinova
Sustainable Development Specialist | Process Engineer
Engineer, researcher in the field of innovative technologies and sustainable development, specialist in public administration. Originally from Uzbekistan, Nigora received her BA from Drexel University (Philadelphia) and her MA from Columbia University (New York). Today she lives and practices between Tunisia and Tashkent.
Nazira Allambergenova
Tax and legal consultant
Nazira is a senior associate at Centil's Tashkent Office. She has 12 years' experience , including over six years of experience in advising clients on various tax and accounting matters. Nazira previously worked for local insurance companies and one of the Big Four auditing firms (for five years). Nazira is a certified auditor of Uzbekistan, holds CAP certificate. Nazira is an ACCA candidate.
